PortaBurst PB30X: TAKE POWER TO THE NEXT LEVEL

For your tough lateral pipe bursting jobs, you need two things from your bursting system – the power to get the job done quickly and the durability to be up and running burst after burst. The versatile HammerHead PortaBurst PB30X replaces 2- to 6-inch lateral pipes with up to 30-tons of pulling force. Its compact footprint requires minimal excavation, and the system is built to help you cut down on wasted time, maximizing productivity. Its user-friendly, compact design makes it easy to operate, easy to set up and easy to transport. PB30X goes to the next level with the ability to slit water lines and gas services with a simple switch to a 3/8″ cable. With efficiency like that, the PortaBurst PB30X is the ideal system for high-profit lateral replacement.

QUICK GRIP® BURST HEADS

Quick Grip burst heads give you the industry’s quickest, most secure, connection to the head and burst through any fracturable pipe. These burst heads can negotiate bends up to 45 degrees and are available in 2-, 3-, 4- & 6-inch options.

LOW PRESSURE, HIGH PRODUCTION

PortaBurst systems operate at low pressure, so you get to choose from a variety of power supply options. Use the dedicated PB13X hydraulic control unit, backhoe, compact excavator or any other hydraulic supply capable of 3,000 psi.

THREE-PIECE DESIGN

The compact, aluminum frame of the PB30X makes it easy to assemble, disassemble and transport. The systems three components, with handles, simplify setup and the aluminum frame has created a lightweight machine, 125 pounds lighter than the PB30G2. This durable machine can take on your toughest work conditions day after day.

DEDICATED POWER WITH PB13X

The newest hydraulic control unit, the PB13X, has a reliable engine key start that is simple and easy to learn. The tethered “hold to run” controller or optional wireless controller, allow the operator to be close to the pit while the control unit is further away, reducing noise and clutter around the work area. With 4-ply heavy-duty tires and a rugged frame, the unit easily moves around the job site. Manual adjustable hydraulic pressure allows the PB30X to pull different size cables.

PATENT PENDING JAW CARRIER SYSTEM

Minimizing the cable’s slippage during a pipe burst, increases the speed and efficiency to complete the job. The PB30X’s patent pending mechanical jaw actuator system is a simplified one-piece system that more quickly engages the jaw’s positive grip on the cable and maintains reliable jaw clamp pressure throughout the cable pull.
